Culturally Defined

Culturally Defined is a dance company that is brought together by a passion for hip hop and street dance. Their goals are all about community, growth, and expression.

Role: Visual and Graphic Designer

Brief: I was tasked with consulting and designing on existing iterations of Culturally Defined’s identity design from logos, posters, and apparel.

Challenge: The challenge was to create an identity different from its competitors in the street dance studio marketplace.

Solution: The answer was researching their target audience and discovering how they can align their values together. With its roots in the party aspect of hip-hop, I researched current trends of streetwear to help design apparel that would further promote that identity.
